I've always liked building things and seeing how they come together. I grew up casting metal sculptures, 3D printing parts, wiring electronics, flying RC planes, and experimenting with chemistry. I like the sense of cause and effect: putting something into the world, seeing it take shape, and personally experiencing/viewing the result. That same mindset drives almost everything I do now. I find satisfaction in making something that works, especially when it ends up being useful to other people.

I'm in my senior year studying finance at Indiana University. Over the past few years, between classes at IU and internships, I learned how money moves, deals come together, and how businesses handle their finances. But over time, I realized what really drew me in wasn't the numbers themselves, it was the systems behind them. The processes, tools, and technologies that make everything work is where I found my real passion. I love the markets and invest in companies I believe in, but what keeps me engaged is building: creating technology, lean teams, and systems that make things faster, smarter, and more useful.

Development

Building software products with AI-assisted development

CI/CD

I don't have any formal technical education. I started building right before Christmas 2024 when Enzo showed me Cursor—an AI-assisted development tool that handles the syntax and implementation details, allowing me to focus on architecture, design, and problem-solving. Everytime I build something, I try to learn something new, and use that knowledge to harden exisiting flows and build better ones. I definitely make mistakes, but I am surrounded by a fantastic team that helps me learn from them and improve.

This approach has enabled me to tap into my creativity and see ideas come to life in ways I never imagined possible. I've built full-stack applications, designed databases, implemented auth systems, and shipped products to real users. This is how I see the future of development, and I'm excited about what I've been able to create with it.

Service

Using technology and community to create meaningful change

Jack doing community service work

Do Good, Do Well

I got into service work right after the pandemic started. During online school, I was part of BinaryHeart (a high school club at the time), and we were able to donate computers to students from Evanston and Chicagowho were struggling to access their classes. Seeing those students use the technology to gain skills and stay engaged in their education was impactful. I stopped taking my own access for granted and started leaning into service work more seriously.

Now I help whenever I can—I’ve realized that often a relatively small effort can create an outsized impact for others, and try to capitalize on that whenever possible. Whether it's building tools for startups & nonprofits, supporting communities, or sharing what I've learned, I focus on creating real, meaningful change.
